FAQ

Cross Academy is for students that desire a hands-on approach to learning about the sciences. Your student will embark on a journey of unfathomable scientific discoveries. Every class session, they will be faced with challenges and obstacles that they must overcome using the powers of deduction, problem solving, observation, and analysis. Students will become fully immersed in hands-on labs and experiments as they utilize all their visual, auditory and kinesthetic skills.

Where do the classes meet?

Classes meet at the Cross Academy home at: 7816 147th St E, Puyallup, 98375.

How many days a week do classes meet?

1 day per week

What forms of payment do you take?

Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Check, cash, or cashier’s check…sometimes cookies on a really bad day.

Do you offer discounts for multiple children?

Yes, discounts start for families with three or more students. Contact me for information

Are payment options available?

Absolutely! Please contact me and we can set up a payment schedule.

What if my child has learning disabilities?

Contact me directly and I will work with you and your student to set up an education plan /accommodations to make this program successful.

Will my child receive a grade in this class?

Yes, if a parent requests a grade, it will be provided.

What if I only want my child to do part of the written assignments?

Participation is expected at the level that you and your student deem appropriate.

What if we know we are going to miss a week?

Just let me know in advance and I can send assignments so you won’t get behind. A syllabus is provided for most classes.

What if a class fills up?

A waitlist will be started.  Additional classes may be offered.

What is unfathomable?

Something that cannot be fathomed.

Can siblings in the same class share a textbook?

Absolutely…they will just need to schedule reading and homework time between themselves.

What is the difference between the Hands on Science A & B & C?

There is no difference. They are the same class and curriculum…just offering a different day and time for convenience.

What kind of cookies do you like?

All…but snickerdoodles are my favorite!
